The Loews Regency New York hotel is a cosmopolitan haven. The luxury hotel offers a calming atmosphere against the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple. The hotel is located on Park Avenue in the Upper East Side, just a quick walk away from Central Park and the attractions of Midtown. Extended just off the lobby is The Regency Bar and Grill, a chic eatery and lounge presenting classic cocktails, lunch, dinner, the hotel's signature ‘Power Breakfast’, and the new ‘Flavor New York by Loews Hotels'.
During my recent New York trip, I stopped in with a friend to enjoy a classic brunch at The Regency Bar and Grill.
“Just call me Carrie Bradshaw”, I joked to my friend as I raised my gin cocktail in the air for a toast. The scenic elegance and glamour of the Loews Hotel mimics the upscale settings often featured in the television series Sex and the City.
My friend and I surveyed the Regency’s brunch menu, which covered a variety of brunch classics, bubbly cocktails, and simple sandwiches. We loaded up our table, ordering the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo, chocolate chip pancakes, yogurt and berries, and applewood smoked bacon (what is brunch without bacon).
We spent hours alternating sips between coffee and cocktails, until we became uncomfortably full and slightly buzzed. Aren’t these the ingredients to a successful brunch? I like to think so.
The Regency Bar and Grill also offers a Flavor New York menu which focuses on highlighting authentic, homegrown products from local partners like Brooklyn Gin, Bon Vivant, the Mah-Ze Dahr bakery, and the Olivella Gourmet Group. Between gin cocktails, porcini truffle pizzas, cakes, tarts, and other desserts you are sure to again sustain fullness and a slight buzz from this menu. Again, I call that a #BRUNCHSUCCESS.
