'A Taste of Ginger' was an incredibly elegant event.
The annual event, hosted at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts, benefited a renown center specializing in diabetes research and treatment.
Both the Joslin Diabetes Center and the Asian-American Diabetes Initiative (AADI) strive to enhance quality of living for diabetic patients and find a cure for the disease altogether. With an increasingly high rate of diabetes in Asian-American populations, the AADI operates with a hyper focus on education, outreach, and clinical care to Asian-American individuals specifically.
Together, they joined forces to host a wonderful evening filled with live entertainment, special purpose, and amazing food.
In fact, this event was every food lovers dream, with over 20 restaurant groups and reputable local chefs onsite (Jasper White, Andy Husbands, and Dave Becker to name a few). From curry ramen cups and hand rolled sushi to BBQ sliders and mini cannoli bars - there was something there for everyone.
What is better than drinking Pinot Noir, eating salmon tartar, and listening to a beautiful violinist? The fact that all event proceeds go towards such a wonderful cause.
